It's gonna be incredible, especially if Van Halen play in Europe like I expect they will, that's the point of a World Tour, right? And Kool and the Kang providing support on some dates lol...hilarious....
Van Halen will tour in 2012, with the mighty-mouthed David Lee Roth singing lead once again.

Stops will include Madison Square Garden in New York, Feb. 28 and March 1, and Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, March 24. The legendary Jersey funk-pop group Kool & the Gang will open for the band on selected dates.

The Garden tickets go on sale on Jan. 14. The Atlantic City tickets will go on sale on a date to be announced.

The band made the announcement after performing a set for a small group of invited guests at Cafe Wha in Greenwich Village.

The band also announced plans to release a new album, "A Different Kind of Truth," on Feb. 7.

As posters on Blabbermouth have said '2012' would be a better album title, considering their last album with Roth was '1984'. Fingers crossed for at least one UK date.

From what I've been told it's almost a foregone conclusion they will be headlining Sonisphere UK, they were supposed to do Download, instead of Prodigy...but apparently Download didn't put forward enough money, they spent most of that on Black Sabbath and Metallica

Sonisphere, here I come! Just to witness my guitar idol Mr. Van Halen shred (health permitting), I'll be front row.

Looks like it might actually happen this year http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/van-halen-to-tour-europe-this-year/

    Maybe.

All the crap associated with the band is still going on. After Dave gave the interview Irving Azoff ( the Van Halen's manager) denied all knowledge of any tour outside of the dates officially anounced. It seems Dave does not speak to Eddie still after all these years but regularly talks to Alex. He has just returned from living in Japan and is doing the rounds on radio at the moment.

Listen to Dave on tv in Japan, probably won't go down well with EVH.

I am waiting a long time for this tour and just hope they can pull it off.
