    Hi,

I have a EPC2203 modem from UPC and i just connect directly to my pc. I now want to connect up my cctv dvr directly to it as i wont be using the internet for a while. My question is how can i forward the ports on it for the dvr. I can do ddns on the dvr itself so thats not a problem.

Will the modem just pass all ports without any configuration ?

The 2203 is a modem only, not a router, there are no ports to forward. Everything is open on it.

So i connect the cctv dvr it will give the external ip to the dvr?

Are they static ip's on UPC or Dynamic? As im wondering about dyndns on the dvr itself.

Is there any reason this setup wont work for me?

    Thanks

UPC's IP's are dynamic, but rarely change, unless the modem is powered off for more than a few hours.

Dynamic, but sticky, as I mentioned above.
