I'm considering studying ACCA through distance learning due to the cost of the course itself and what it would cost to travel to and from classes.

So has anyone studied through this option?
What are your thoughts on it?
    Would you recommend it?
What are the costs versus attending classes? And any other opinions or comments you may have about it would be appreciated!!

The large majority of people that take on acca do so through evening / weekend lectures. A lot simply get the books from bpp etc and study for the early stages exams on their own. Text books would cost about 60 euro ball park. a single course would cost approx 800 euro or so.

There are 14 exams (papers), and you may be due exemptions - most people take between 3 & 5 years to pass.

As smcgiff pointed out buy the books and study the books front to back. Courses are overrated!!! Most are so rushed they don't cover half the material anyway. Just pay for your books, your ACCA dues and your exam fees. You'll save a fortune!!
