I have just gone through the whole dang policy pdf and I found this:

    B. repatriation if the Qualified Medical Practitioner appointed
by ace assistance believes treatment in Ireland
is preferable, transfer will be arranged by regular
scheduled transport services, or by air or road
ambulance services if more urgent treatment and/or
specialist care is required during the journey

    repatriation must be:
    a) authorised by ace assistance
    b) necessary on medical grounds; and
    to Ireland.

So yes they do do repatriation :)

thank you so much great help ur a topper. seems to be gud quotes for the 2 years for the insurance. Am i right in thinking youl need separate insurance for the medical insurance and a backpacker's also??

The backpackers will cover you grand, and then you can get the medical ins in Can which will cover you for hospital visits (general ish ones like, rather than emergency ones - which your backpackers would cover) and then employers medical insurance will hopefully cover your meds.

    From what I know

The backpackers IS your travel insurance! You bring proof of your cover from them so that if the immigration officials ask for it you can produce it and you'll be laughin :)
