Hard drives prices

Quick question
Looking to upgrade the hard drive on my laptop but I am reading every where that the prices of hard drives have sky rocketed cause of the floods in Thailand
The cheapest 1tb I can find is for 90e and I was wondering what the prices where like before and should I hold on till they comeback down ?????

In fainess a 1tb laptop driive is not bad at 90 euro dont think laptop drives at that size were ever much cheaper.

Be sure that a 1TB will fit in your laptop. Most laptop hard drives are 2.5", with a 9.5mm height. The 1TB drives though are usually 12.5, so they might not work.

There are a growing number of 9.5mm 1TBs around since late last year although still not the norm yet by any means. The samsung on around Pixmania appears to be a 9.5mm according to it tech sheet anyway, so it should be all good.
