1999 Celica in Kildare with 7 months NCT, a claimed 73k miles for €1300 asking.

Bad news is the wheels are awful and I reckon it's an SS1 so 140bhp ..

2.2 VTi Prelude, engine in these is a gem and the manuals are worth getting over the auto box (desperately fragile), asking €1600 but 12 months NCT (rocks some people's boats :) )

Rare for the 2.2 vti to pop up for sale now a days. If my car sells quick enough I will be viewing this car!

    Indeed they are very scarce.

Good chance that'll take a while to sell though, fingers crossed :)

Very nice one, i like it quite a lot.

    But:

    "Lowered"

Why? Why would you damage a great car .

Sometimes a subtle drop is needed. I had a DC2 Type R and dropped it 15mm as it was lacking that tiny bit. And if you watch the tuning DVD from Japan they only recommendation they make for the car was to slightly drop it.

Honda seem to do this across the range. Most of their decent stuff is lacking a very subtle drop IMHO.

All fine, but how does the car behave on a third party set of springs? Don't think it was ever tested and that would be my worry.

The Celica I has was lowered more than just a tad, it would go around corners very well and very fast but was a disaster on speedbumps, potholes and some normal roads, pain in the arse really. The non lowered prelude I had was a much nicer car to drive, admittedly it wasn't as great on bends but it was more than good enough :)

It behaves better. In most cases, the third part springs will be better than oem.

Straight looking 1998 Camry in Wicklow, NCT until October and taxed until end of April, 160k miles asking €975, new tyres and clutch apparently.

Looks relatively straight although there's two lights on the dash and it's idling, presume one is handbrake light ???

A very tasty looking 2000 Omega diesel, 12 months NCT and almost 3 months tax, mileage low at shy of 110k miles but looks a very very clean car so might well check out.... probably a bit expensive though.

Hmm.. is that a big thing? I guess you'd have to get someone in the know to look at it. Still, it seems like a hell of a lot of car for €650.[/QUOTE

any bit of a leak in the leads would result in the sparks flying, what would have me thinking is, why did he have to steam clean the engine.

Did anyone see the (Admittedly non running) Mondeo diesel on donedeal last night for 350?

It was 05 IIRC. You would of sold the boot off it for that money.

Seems to be gone now, I thought it wouldn't hang around longer than 10 mins but still.

I need to pick up a bangernomics estate or possibly hatchback suitable for a big dog early next week.

Max 2L, petrol or diesel, auto would be great but not essential...

    Any suggestions? Nearer Dublin preferably.

I'm thinking Laguna estate auto....are they decent enough?

Bit expensive for mileage. I'd be looking to shift it again quick enough with minimum loss. I'd say that would be difficult to get rid of...

This is close to needing belts again AFAIK. Looks good otherwise though.

It's amazing how sellers shoot themselves in the foot sometimes. The ad does indeed say NCT 06/2012, when it is actually 06/2013. Instant click back by the punter...

    Not your ornery onager

What a cool daily driver. Tiny tax, tiny mileage, run's on fumes, classic insurance and nobody else has one.

I'm probably alone but I think this is kinda cool. Way too expensive but cheap at 1000 quid I'd say.

A few lads before last winter up around Wicklow way were looking for a commuter wagon if the snow came again. If u had space for this u could run it three months of year, for ever.
