Low miles on a 1.0 isn't that unusual, may well be genuine, seller claims they have old NCT certs, if they have all of them that would go some way to prove it's not clocked.

I'd have the attitude so what it's clocked :)
If it checks out as straight and sound, at the price you can't go wrong.

Now, I'd hate to have a crash in one of them or a Saxo tbh, if you plan on doing lots of spins home (Waterford iirc ?) I'd sooner do that in the likes of a Polo or fiesta than a 106. It does look quite tasty though.

I guess, as long as it's clean the only hard is trying to sell it again and at that stage, the next person would probably be thinking the same.

Nope, been living in Tallaght from day one, furthest I'd be going would be town for work or the hills for pleasure.
I've been looking for a 1.25 Fiesta really but this caught my eye, they do look nice.

Fck me that's rough. But full marks for effort

If it came with €399 in the glovebox, I'm still not sure its worth €400.

Tongue in cheek. Just in case that wasn't already obvious.

If it only needs one new tyres then I guess tracking would need to be sorted too?
Starting to sound like a lot more than €400.

May or may not need tracking, if they tyre that needs replacing is worn evenly and so are the other three it might well be fine.

You are unlikely to land a €400 car that needs nothing more invested, I bought an old Merc for €400 ish some years back and spent that on it again to get it passed the NCT (3 tyres were the most expense, and a few hours of time which was free I suppose).

If your budget is €400 I reckon you should wait until you have a bit more to spend :)

Perhaps this for 400 sobs? Test isn't far off but a reasonable cart to get one around

My mother just joined bangermomics and bought a 2005 skoda fabia estate for €1200...........with 25,000 miles on the clock and a full history with loads of NCT left. It was owned by a old lad up the road who drove it to the shops and back and every couple of weeks drove from Dublin to Wicklow. Not a mark on the body or interior. There are some genuine low milers out there.

i wouldn't touch a 7 year old car driven by an old man to the shops and back with 25,000 miles on it for love nor money!

You'd get a newer model for not much more tbh.

That's a green three door and it's very, very outdated at this stage. Still brilliant bangernomics though.

The newer one would probably be the 1.0 version this has the 1.4 engine in it so a bit more power. I think while horrifically outdated it has everything a bangernomic(?) needs...:D

Volvo s40, full leather, just passed the NCT, taxed until the end of August - 950 Euro. 750'd probably buy it. New tyres too.

Location : Cork (Should we put locations in here by default? Would make sense IMHO)

    A few decent finds today.

S80 2 litre auto in Dublin €1450. The ad even says cheap luxury driving!

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3155288

Something with a bit more poke. Saab 9-5 3 litre for €1200 in Dublin

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3146380

Obligatory e39. 523. Taxed and tested for €1150. Worth the trip to Waterford to check it out.

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.
