Volvo v70 2.5TD, 2000year, Electric windows, Tinted windows, Tow bar, Clean inside and outside, 5cylinders, 7seater, New water pump, New front bearings, New rear shocks, New Timing belt done.

    Price: 1200e

    My Old Car
I put a recon engine in that before I sold it last year,I also put the water pump and timing belt and rear shocks,New bushings front and rear,
I sold it for alot less than his asking ,wonder what he done to warrant his asking as it still dont have any NCT by the looks of things

What mileage did you re-con the engine? By the sounds of it, that car was very expensive to maintain, was it not?
I'd say that seller saw more bills on the horizon. I'm gone off the d5 engine now. Probably rightly so too.

It's nice alright and he's looked after it very well !

That's the VAG 2.5 TDI lump AFAIK, the D5 didn't come until a little bit later. Makes it a good candidate for a veggie conversion.

No link to the ad luvbulmers01.

I'd love an XJ, but I don't think I'd chance buying pre-'00, and definitely not over 100k, bangernomics or no.

    Nice machine
I prefer the non "sport" trim though, the lack of full leather interior looks very shabby on a Jag imo.

God yes it needs full leather.

A tweed suit and a shooting jacket is a pre req for the lazy XJ's

How about a Golf GTi for 850 Lids in Cork with an NCT until July?

Looks like River Towers in Cork was where the photo was taken, thinking of going to look at this one myself.

Yeh was thinking the same myself looks clean from the outside, but let downby the lack of leather, but at that price its still a lot of car.

Lovely exterior, but you'd think they'd clean the vomit out of the interior before putting it up for sale. :)

Yeah the interior looks particularly sh1t in that jag, wouldnt mind going for a test drive all the same see whats wrong with it!

    Yeah, not a hope it's a turbo.

    Nothing GTi about that POS.

I didn't get it either, the ad specifically mentions a Turbo though. I was wondering if someone had put on hubcaps as a sleeper thing. Tried calling/texting, but no answer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 73,455 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

The changed the tail lights, and door handles and removed the foglights too?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,683 ✭✭✭✭Owen

Got me there, I'm no VW expert.
