Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Abba.

Speaking from the point of view of a 25 year-old male, Agnetha's arse wins out easily.

The blonde in Abba was once voted rear of the year.
Girls in Brotherhood of man had their skirt´s ripped off in eurovision.
    Hard call.

ABBA forever! By the way, the skirt ripping was not done by Brotherhood of Man but by Bucks Fizz, the winners of the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest.

Why is ' some other gay band I never heard of before ' in the poll? ABBA were the best and the sexiest band ever!

I was only discussing this the other day and the image aside ,some of ABBA's musical arrangements in the studio with vocals ,synth , piano ,guitars and drums are up there with some of Phil Spector , Brian Wilson and Lennon / McCartney's stuff .

Stupid poll. ABBA were neither gay in the modern sense of the word that means crap or gay meaning homosexual as they were two married couples. They were somewhat gay in the old fashioned way that meant happy, although later songs like Knowing Me Knowing You are more melancholic.

ABBA were great. People that don't recognise their genius wouldn't know a decent song if it slapped them in the face.

Not everyone that entered the Eurovision was total crap. Sandy Shaw was great too.

    That's what the hipsters think.

The Brotherhood of Man that won the Eurovision in 1976 bore no resemblance to the band that started releasing records in 1969. The early singles and b-sides for Deram have a psychedelic edge and are pretty decent. The debut LP United We Stand is quite cool too.

They went through rapid line-up changes. By 1974 no original members remained.

Abba are clearly miles better than the Brotherhood of Man.

Save all your kisses for me

    Not to mention

    Figaro
Oh oh Figaro, he's got magic, oh oh
Oh oh Figaro, he's a romeo -oh

    Angelo
Long ago, high on a mountain in Mexico, lived a young shepherd boy Angelo, met a young girl and he loved her so....rich was she, came from a very high family, Angelo knew it could never be, they ran away to their destiny.... etc etc....

    Loved Brotherhood of Man................

Don't forget that ABBA won a Eurovision too, the 1974 contest, with Waterloo which was theIr first No. 1 single and propelled them to fame and 8 years of hit after hit.
