Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm no techy , just cant get the concept of Apps - if i use facebook / twitter on a browser - i have to (or should) logout - is the idea of an app you stay logged in and just wake it up when you want to use it - cant see the idea behind the irish times app for example , to me it is much easier to read from browser - Am I missing something about Apps , that my head just cant get around ??

    cheers

Different strokes for different folks. Apps are platform specific where mobile websites are generally designed for the widest audience.
In relation to the times app I would assume that it uses a lot less data to retrieve the information because the app formats the raw info.
Also with apps there is tighter integration to the phone, so for instance the Facebook app allows you to assign a persons Facebook profile pic to there contact, something that can't be done with the website.
