Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

UK - Green light given to high-speed rail links between UK's biggest cities

A controversial high-speed rail line between London and Birmingham will be given the go-ahead by Transport Secretary Justine Greening next week.

The biggest rail project in over a century will cut the journey time between Britain’s two biggest cities from one hour 24 minutes to just 49 minutes.

The 100-mile, 250mph link will eventually be extended to north-west and north-east England and on to Scotland, bringing Britain’s creaking rail infrastructure up to the level of other major economies such as those of Japan and France.
