OH bought one on Friday but won't be cooked till Monday I'm worried that this will run through us like a dose of salts:(

Check what it says on the packaging. If it does not have any guidelines - check with the place you bought it. Otherwise you'll need to make your own call on it as us random peeps on the interweb have no idea how you are storing it, what it smells like or whether it will be covered in mould on Monday.
