Its the John Joe Sheehy road.

AFAIK, you change at Mallow and its about 4 hours. Haven't used it in years though

Nice one CL. Yep you change at mallow alrite. I vaguely remember doing the trip on my 6th class school tour to the aquadome and a few history related places.

You don't always have to change at Mallow, there is a direct train I think, but not sure what time as its years since I had to get train back & forth to Dublin! Train arrives pretty much into Tralee town, its only a few minutes walk into the town centre. The train station is on John Joe Sheehy Road.
Also, I think its less than 4 hours now and more comfy trains!

Still 4 hours & 99% of the time, you have to change at Mallow. Wifi from Dublin to Mallow so bring a laptop or iphone & yer sorted!

Never though of that, good idea lad ;)

Might aswell ask this here instead of starting a new thread. Is there any friendly mechanics around tralee that would come checkout a car for us, all going well, drive it back to their garage and store it for a day or 2 max until a truck comes to take it away?

If you know any.. names and numbers would be great..
