Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

so many I couldn't count them. Sometimes it's because they are just done so well and sometimes it's the sentiment. There are poems I can't recite without breaking up too- guess I'm just a blubbery mess.:o:p

"A Song for You" by Donny Hathaway. A friend had given me his greatest hits cd. I gave it a listen while driving to work. I found myself bawling like an idiot as that song was ending. I thought it was a fluke but every time I listened to it, I felt down.

The amazingness of the performance of these Prodigy songs made my eyes well up a bit the first time I heard this:

I've never seen/ heard that and I'm pretty neutral on the prodigy but I'm in absolute awe of whomever created that, brilliant.

    No tears though.

I'm always moved by Maria Callas' performances.

    Thanks for posting this.

I have never really listened to opera. Not really my thing as it was never something i listened to, but when i heard this piece on the radio recently in full i cried. What a performance!
It has to be one of the most moving and emotional things I've ever heard.

And I am into opera now.

    *slaps Teddy in the head*
*Sticks tongue out and licks BillyMitchels finger on impact* :p
    Just like that
I believe it should of actually been, ahem...
    "Baby, baby, baby oh
Baby, baby, baby no!" repeated several hundred times. (At least it seems like it is)

Bright Eyes, First Day Of My Life

I know I'm getting old when stuff like this just tickles me so

I'm going to lash this one in here as well - I first heard this song on the day my granny died when i was 15 and it's just always stuck with me

I was widowed just over 5 yrs ago
And while I could post a million songs about my wife that would and always will affect me....
This 1 isn't so much about her.

Most recently this Paloma Faith song has left me in a heap.
I am now in my 1st serious relationship since I lost my wife.
Yes I love my late wife, and I always always will...
But the loss, and the journey afterwards are what brought me to my new GF ready to try, ready to be open to a new relationship...
I'm seeing the girl in question @6mths now and when I heard this song it shone a flashlight on all my fears for our relationship :(
I never want her to question my feelings for her, or to feel that she is a 'replacement' or consolation prize because she's not my 2nd best!
She's the girl who showed me that I can love again ;)

But I heard this song while she was away on holidays and it left me a blubbering wreck...
