Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Eating out alone

I wouldn't normally go to a pub/restaurant for dinner on my own but today I didnt fancy cooking so decided to go to a pub I have frequented in the company of other people. Before I never had a problem.

Today, however, it seemed as if I was invisible. I went in, sat down and was promptly given a menu and asked did I want a drink. I asked for water which was brought to me immediately. Thats where I became invisible!

It was 15 minutes before my order was taken and 45 minutes before I got my dinner! The girl apologised in her best english and said it was very busy but 2 families who had arrived after me were already tucking into their desserts !!

I ate it because I was so hungry and left but it did get me thinking do single people have this problem on a regular basis?

I eat solo regularly as I work away from home. I've never had a problem tbh. Then again I'd never just be drinking water with my meal. :o

What has that got to do with your meal being late?

I would have made myself known if I were you, bigger tables may attract more attention from the waiting staff.

Nowt that I can see, let's not make an issue where there isn't one.
