Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Heat Pump Warranties...

Quick question for those with experience - what is/would be a standard warranty period for a heat pump? My ASHP is giving some trouble and the supplier/installer is requesting payment for a replacement circuit board.

    Item was installed Sept/Oct '09.

It varies from manufacturere to manufacturer, and may depend on who has doone the installation - (is the installer apporved & trained by the manufacturer)

It can be up to five years, and should not be less then 2 (I think EU consumer law becomes covers the minimum)

Your warranty should be from the datge of commissioning - which may be later than the original install.

Thanks Borzoi, so I may be falling outside the 2 year min....

Trying to dig out any relevant documentation.

As a complication, the system was running fine until the supplier/installer replaced a circulation pump (Dec). Now the manager isn't communicating with the external fan (albeit no error codes are showing) and they are suggesting there is an over/under voltage on the board...
