Folks I just got a 14 CD package in the post ( I think they are audio CDs ) - has anyone else got this? I am sure it is a scam, my only thought is 'do these clowns have my credit card number?'

Any advice ( apart from binning it?)

Mods feel free to move this post if it is inappropriate / should be in another forum.

Ha, just received the same thing today completely unsolicited. Expensively packaged and containing the 14 audio cd's and am also wondering if someone is charging me for this.

    Have you listened to it?

Mr Trudeau has a extensive history of legal proceeding against him

I am wondering have any of you purchased or expressed a interest in any of his products or alternative therapies in the past few months?

Great to hear others have got it without any prompting, so I can bin it.

I have never expressed an interest in his products, don't know where he got my name, but I am in the Golden Pages etc because I have a business.

I listened to the first CD for about 5 minutes - it's absolute drivel, if anyone paid for this they'd need their head examined.

Thanks for all the info guys.

You cannot be forced to pay for unsolicited mail.

You can make a complaint about this here

After tracing the barcode it appears the sender is a company called MRT in Dublin. No other info available.

I don't think this really belongs here, as it's not the content of the cd's that's the issue, but that they're unsolicited. So I'm moving it to the Consumer Issues forum as it seems more suited there.

    This might help: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=75613003&postcount=48
there is NO OBLIGATION on you to return any items which you recieve in the mail that you have not ordered!
    here's the relevant law

    http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/1980/en/act/pub/0016/sec0047.html

if you do nothing, after 6 months they're yours
if you tell them to collect them, after 30 days they're yours

If you listen to the cds, each is quite short and ends mid sentence. They say you will be contacted by a "mentor" (or medium :)) after 14 days which I presume will be an attempt to get you to pay for the complete uncut version. The "mentor" will offer you the chance to go on a Caribbean cruise with sundry millionaires and billionaires. Monkey see monkey do as Kevin puts it.

Sounds like a well set-up scam, I'll let you know if I get a phone call, fair play to you for listening to the drivel that is on the cds. If the first one is anything to go on, it is boring repetitive rubbish.

My copy is already in the bin.
