Not sure if this is the correct spot.
Just wondering is there much money to be made buying and selling cars from northern Ireland and England??

While Its sometimes worthwhile purchasing a car for your own use from the North / Mainland UK, and many main dealers bring in cars from the UK I think its gotten to the point that so many people are at it that its not quite as lucrative. I have seen truck loads of vans with UK plates in Dublin recently but when looking at cars recently noticed a massively reduced price differential North and South.

Im from a border area originally and many of the dealerships near the border are doing so and selling the cars at near or lower than you would pay for sourcing and bringing one in yourself. The exchange rate has also moved against the euro since last summer.

Theres also issues re re-registering lots of cars(you need a Trader Account Number - TAN) if you bring in so many cars, and you would need to register for income tax.

EDIT: In case above seems negative, Its still something thats possibly worth examining, but is certainly not the "easy money" it used to be. If your able to focus do it on a low cost basis or target a popular niche it may be quite successful.
