So myself and the missus thought we might try a few advanced techniques. ;)

We're looking for a book that cuts to the chase and contains a good list of different positions etc.

    Any ideas?

Tracy Cox has books. I have one and it's quite good to be honest. Can't remember the title though.

Im going to leave this thread open as I feel its a genuine query from the OP however let me be clear, any muppetry will not be tolerated.

    Cheers Otis.

Yeah, it's a genuine query. Strangely hard to get a single source that has a bulk review of various books, giving a top 5, top 10 etc. And there are tons of books out there (as the saying goes, sex sells) so was wondering what recommendations Boardsies have.

There's one called Advanced Sex by Randi Foxx. It's got a check list of hundreds of positions.

Some rather cheesy or needlessly complex, but sure, f*ck it.

I rather feel like I am on QI here and giving the obvious answer is going to make lots of bells go off - but have I not heard that the kama sutra is not meant to be the go to document for this kind of thing? No one has mentioned it yet. I see on amazon something called:

The Complete Kama Sutra: The First Unabridged Modern Translation of the Classic Indian Text by Mallanaga Vatsyayana and Alain Danielou (Paperback - Sep 1995)
    Buy new: £14.99

Ah really? Normally when people refer to it those parts do not get mentioned too often :) I guess it is one of those things that everyone thinks they know what it is but turns out hardly anyone does.

Yeah, part of it describes positions, but a lot of it is about family life and stuff

    1. General remarks
Chapters on contents of the book, three aims and priorities of life, the acquisition of knowledge, conduct of the well-bred townsman, reflections on intermediaries who assist the lover in his enterprises (5 chapters).
    2. Amorous advances/Sexual union
Chapters on stimulation of desire, types of embraces, caressing and kisses, marking with nails, biting and marking with teeth, on copulation (positions), slapping by hand and corresponding moaning, virile behavior in women, superior coition and oral sex, preludes and conclusions to the game of love. It describes 64 types of sexual acts (10 chapters).
    3. Acquiring a wife
Chapters on forms of marriage, relaxing the girl, obtaining the girl, managing alone, union by marriage (5 chapters).
    4. Duties and privileges of the wife
Chapters on conduct of the only wife and conduct of the chief wife and other wives (2 chapters).
    5. Other men's wives
Chapters on behavior of woman and man, how to get acquainted, examination of sentiments, the task of go-between, the king's pleasures, behavior in the women's quarters (6 chapters).
    6. About courtesans
Chapters on advice of the assistants on the choice of lovers, looking for a steady lover, ways of making money, renewing friendship with a former lover, occasional profits, profits and losses (6 chapters).
    7. Occult practices
Chapters on improving physical attractions, arousing a weakened sexual power (2 chapters)

still not a bad idea at all though, and i would guess there are shorter versions with just the sexual parts :)

I stand educated so. I do remember once seeing a kama sutra poster though which was individual pictures of the different sexual positions from the book all on one poster. I did not buy it but it certainly looked.....

    inventive... and ermm......

    numerous.

Quite a lot to work through if one wanted to try them all. I imagine it is not hard to find but as I am at work I will not be doing the searching for the OP right now but it might be exactly what the OP wants all on one handy reference poster.

Try the Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica.

Its fiction but there's some really good stories in it, I was surprised.

The Kama Sutra reads like a PUA book for the first century. It's an entertaining read all the same.

Marquis de Sade is where it's at. :pac:
