Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Noobie ipad question about data

Hey all, I know I could have searched this out myself and looked through but considering the ever-evolving nature of these things in short amounts of time, I decided just to ask.

I got an ipad recently and it's one of the 3g models. I don't have an iphone, I'm not much of a phone head really I just top it up and make short calls.

I have no idea how to go about setting the ipad up for 3g. I know I need a micro sim but I'm unsure if I have to buy a seperate data plan, whether I can get pay-as-you-go data, or if I just get a micro-sim and share the credit with my phone.

I'd be very grateful if someone could clear this up for me. I use Vodafone for my mobile.

    Hey Loe Downling,

I'm nearly 100% sure you won't be able to share you vodafone contract, you can either get a pay as you go package for the ipad or a bill pay package, I know three do a bill pay 1GB for 10 a month but I'm not sure of any others.

    Anyway heres the sites:

Ricky is correct. Only 1 sim active on any network at any time. Youll need to get a 2nd plan. Im sure you could get a combined bill ( similar to a family plan setup )
