Shipping Container to South America

    We will be relocating to South America towards the end of next year. We are just starting to look into shipping costs to Buenos Aires. We own 2 apartments over there, one fully furnished so we'd only really be shipping clothes, decent tv and some other personal effects, books, cds (she refuses to burn them to a hard drive, tried and failed!) some ornaments and kitchen goods (nespresso machine etc). No beds or large furnishings.

    Does anyone have any experience of a good shipping company for sending our clobber across the atlantic ? Any recommendations, price will certainly be a factor rather than speed as we will bring luggage on the flights and have the furnished apt over there.

    i too am looking for a company to ship similar items to yours to Brazil at the end of the year.

    if anyone has any experience of shipping to south america and costs,i would be grateful for suggestions.

    one more question............ does anyone know how shipping belongings on a pallet works?

    do you have to hire the pallet,is it done by weight,height,how do you work out how many pallets you need?
