Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm just playing devils advocate so take it with a pinch of salt but why should I apply a higher duty of care to a female in my group in terms of getting home after a night out? She is supposed to be my equal.

I think most would agree that a woman is more physically vulnerable getting home from a night out on her own, particularly to sexual assault or rape. Hell even the taxi driver can be a threat.

If you asked a group of people 'What strategies do you use in your day to day life (or on a night out) to ensure you don't get sexually or physically assaulted or raped?', I'm sure you'd get a stronger response from the women.

Sexual assault yes however I think men are far more likely to get plain old physically assaulted than a woman is. There are normally plenty of scumbags that their idea of a good night out is to get very drunk and then end the night with a fight so go looking for one.
