Synthetic Dreadlocks in a salon?

    I'm getting rather sick of my current style and I'd like to get some dreadlocks. I've heard good thinks about the Afro-Carribean salons on Moore Street (Dublin) but I've yet to find a price.
    Can anyone recommend a place where I can get my hair styled into dreads?
    My hair is currently about 7-8" long at the sides with a fringe and the back is layered and my hair type is very thick and straight.
    I've looked at some WikiHows on achieving the look myself but I'd like to get it done professionally. How much would it cost to get dread extensions?
