Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi......Im new to boards.ie and really need some advice.

Ive recently graduated with a degree in civil engineering and was hoping to gain experience in Ireland but this is proving difficult.
However, Ive decided to move to UK to get experience so was wondering does anyone know of any companies that are currently hiring civil engineering graduates anywhere in UK??
I would be open to any type of position as site engineer, design engineer, surveying or project management.

I would greatly appreciate any advice at all or what would be the best way to find a position in UK.

    Thanks!

Job hunt is not going to good at the moment. A lot of the big compaines will not be hiring graduates till September and I was really hoping to have something sorted before then.
I would be very much interested in hearing how you get on over there.
Ideally I would like to have a job sorted before I make the move over.
    Best of luck with it!

Most graduate programmes start in September and I would imagine most big companies will have finished their recruitment for their September well before that.

For my graduate training (years ago now!), I applied in December before graduation and interviews took place in April with an offer 2 weeks later for a September start
