So this is the finalized course for the 3k, I had a concern that the leaders would overlap the back markers in the tightest part of the course.
5m between the max elevation and the min elevation :D
    http://connect.garmin.com/activity/165539900

Start - just down from the pedestrian bridge.
    1.5 anti-clockwise laps of the 1st field.
Run straight towards the playground field and run 1 anti-clockwise lap.
Run straight back towards the 1st field and run 340 m clockwise back to the start.

Had our club session on the course last night, everyone agreed it's pretty quick - anyone fancy having a blast over 3k?

Going to have a blast over this - shame its so flat, all my training has been in the mountains lately, but sure you can't please everyone :D

I think I've accidentally binned my number from the first race - will I be able to re-register on the day?

Also heading down for this, looking forward to it.

This Thursday at the Fit4Life race in Shanganagh I will be organising an appeal for any of your unwanted running gear, clothing only shoes are not needed.
All the donations will go towards the ‘On The Road’ homeless charity which aims to advance the self sufficiency of the homeless populations by engaging them in a structured, tailored program based around the positive benefits found in running. More details can be found on the website http://www.ontheroadagain.ie

A little on the damp side, but this race is on the tarmac paths, so we will still go ahead - I'm reliably informed that it's not going to rain between 7 and 8
Hopefully we see a few of you there

Will be there if work permits, and will have a quick root through my running drawers beforehand.

    ^^ Insert innuendo here ^^

My weather prediction was pretty accurate and great to see 100+ at this.
A good gathering of Boardies taking 4 of the top 6 places - a cheeky 10:06 for me. And I went home with car full of clothing donations - thanks everyone.

Well done Dom, and great to see so many out - 117 finishers to be exact.
Now can you look into that meterological crystal ball of yours and see what the weather will be like for 20:30 on Sunday in around Dublin 2!

Super race. Had a blast. There's a lot of fun to be had in these shorter races!
Thanks again to all the volunteers. Went like clockwork.

https://www.facebook.com/events/360509937331740/ Next up, a 5k in Wicklow Town, hosted by the Inbhear Dee Athletics Club. Usual deal, only €5 entry, no need for online entry/late entry etc etc, just show up on the night, sign in, and run! Or jog or walk, everyone is welcome, there is a big spread in the standard!

Prizegiving is usually no more then 15mins after the race, with prizes for the top 3 in each age group: Junior/Senior/35-39/40-44/45-50/50+, For this race, we are also going to 10 extra 5euro vouchers for Avondale Sports, in Rathdrum as spotprizes to anyone who was not in the main prizes.

Am looking forward to this tomorrow, if my legs stop giving out about last night's interval session! I hope that drag up from the Murrough is as easy as it looks on Mapmyrun . Reassure me Dom!

It's only a pimple on one of Wicklow Town's many buttocks - it comes at the start when you won't notice it and you get it back at the end when you most need it :p

I've slightly changed the course, instead of that nasty 180 turn at the end to bring you back into the carpark (last 400m), the route will just go straight! The route is still an accurate 5k though!

Great night again. I love running in those conditions, I think I've raced in the best and worst evening conditions of the year in less than 30 days.

I knew that mapmyrun elevation was lying though ;), and as for BeepBeep and all his talk about PB's!
