    Hi,

I'm looking for a cosy pub that is relaxed, serves food and has a pleasant atmosphere, a pub that isn't an 'old man' place. Any ideas?

Gorman's in Kilminchy or Egan's on main street are decent and reasonable.

What about the Mile Bush in Fairgreen or O'Loughlins on Main Street!

Agreed with Lethean, very nice food and I think they've started doing food until 7 or 8pm in there now, used to be until 4pm.

    No, I dont work there.

I would have to agree with Egan's. Food is lovely and quite reasonable, and lovely atmosphere

Agreed, very nice pub grub. A bit far from town centre though!

O Gormans is only ok In my opinion!

Not a pub but Square meal is hard to beat for tasty grub...The people in there are the nicest you'd ever wish to meet!

Good Pub Grub is hard to find in portlaoise...Pj Kavanagh does nice soup and sambo's etc around luch time...and Ive heard Lethan is decent!

Out of town, but the best pub grub around can be got at Treacy's on the old Dublin road. Never disappoints.
