Moved into a house in September and since then we have received two electricity bills, both estimated.
The estimated reading when we moved in according to the website was 54,923 and the estimated reading for 20th December was 54,974.
Checked the meter there and it's now reading 55,795. Tried to put that into the meter readings but it said it was too high.
Just wondering if those readings would be right and how much of a bill we can be expecting if they are correct!

    Hi smurfy89,

If your initial reading when you moved back in September was 54,923, then 55,795 sounds reasonable to me. Averaged out, that equates to just over 200 units per month.

If the system detects a sudden jump, relative to previous readings (which were underestimated by the looks of it) then the readings will usually be submitted to an agent to double-check them.

If you like, I can double-check the readings for you and issue you a corrected bill. Just send on your account details via PM.

    Thanks,

    David.
