i dont know of any apps for the blackberry but there is a web based version optmised for mobiles - http://www.cabbagetexter.com/cabbagewebbased.php - from the same guy who made cabbage texter.

Also consider whatsapp. It's not a texting app per say but many people and platforms use it. It's BlackBerry app was updated today:
