    Hi,

I need to get a house valued for probate. Does anyone know how much this will cost and would a good reputable big auctioneers be better than a local auctioneers who may know the area better ?

    Thanks.

It will cost a few hundred euro. Any auctioneer who operates in the area and is a member of an approved body should be able to do it. If you are an executor considering buying the property yourself you should be careful.

I paid less than €200 each for two valuations in 2010 - two different branches of the same estate agency. They also offered to deduct the amount from their fee if they later got the job of selling the property.
