    +1.

    They were proved right by not going in to the euro. We have far higher debt per capita than the UK or other countries, despite being the recipient of major EC / EEC grants + structural funds + CAP payments + other handouts for decades. Because of the problems of the euro + the 12 points above, property prices here will drop for another few years anyway, imho.
