Water Tank Insulation Against Frost

    I've insulated around my plastic water tank with 150mm insulation(rockwool) and have a light wired above it.Should I also have a cover on the tank I was thinking about some of the white aeroboard...
    I've no insulation below the tank to let the heat from below up.

    Absolutely- the top of your tank should be insulated but more importantly the top must be covered to prevent dust, dirt, insects, birds or rodents entering the tank and polluting the cold feed to your hot water cylinder and the cold taps in your bathroom(s).
