    how do i hide my router and set a password (setup security against unwanted free loaders)

    zyxel eircom router :)

    AFAIK the current Zyxel Eircom routers come with WPA already set up? And hiding your SSID is not of great value. Visit the router's config pages at 192.168.1.254 and have a look around anyway.
