Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yaris Key Unlock Issue

    Hi,

I have a 07 Yaris and I am having difficulties with unlocking the car with the remote. I have to be very close to the car for it to work if it is to work at all. When I press the unlock button the red light on the key comes on so I don't think it is an issue with the battery or the key I think it might be the receiver. I have no issues locking the car with the remote, that works perfectly.

Any ideas on what this is or how to fix it?

    Thanks

I'd replace the battery anyway. is yours the shiney Japanese key with plastic buttons, or the french matt plastic key with rubber buttons?

Have you tried a fresh battery?
I would start with a good battery and then work down the list.
An LED uses no power compared with a transmitter.

thanks for the feedback. It is the plastic key. I'll replace the battery anyway, there is no harm in that.

    Cheers.
