    Hi All.

I have set-up a short URL, which I'd rather not disclose in the thread.
Basically, the subdomain (the primary destination) is used for custom bit.ly URLs. The domain itself redirects to the main website, at the longer domain. What coding could I use to make the subdomain redirect also, without affecting the bit.ly set-up.

    For example:

xx.xmpl.com - the short url address (eg. xx.xmpl.com/jkasd)
xmpl.com - when main url is visited (not subdomain), it redirects to main site, eg.
    example.com - main website

There's no information from bit.ly, but I am sure some Boardsies know how.

FYI, the xx. is placed towards the bit.ly site using a CNAME.
The xmpl.com is redirected via standard forwarding.
I'm using a *nix based server: Redhat as far as I know.

I hope someone could shed a light on how to deal with this.
    Thanks all.

(xmpl.com/example.com used for example. A real world example could be how http://jrnl.ie/ redirects to http://thejournal.ie. Only, I would have http://xx.jrnl.ie/)
