Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of any daytime martial arts classes in Dublin?

Location isn't important but would be especially interested in any classes in Inchicore, Ballyfermot, Drimnagh and Clondalkin areas.

The style is also unimportant as I am open to all styles to complement my current training.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Quite surprised at the lack of daytime classes in Dublin.
So far I have only found one, which looks very good and I will be looking into further.

However variety is the spice of life so if anyone knows of anymore please post them up.

    Go raibh maith agaibh.

Straight Blast Gym has daytime classes in the area you mentioned. It is in Walkinstown, and one can get the 18 from Ballyfermot to it or the 151 from Clondalkin. It has an excellent reputation in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and MMA.

    Check it out.

Have been told that "Jimmy's Kempo Accademy" in Ballyfermot run good training classes during the day.

I have been unable to confirm this or find contact details for the club.

Would any one here know anything about it?

Jimmy Poland has a great reputation in Kenpo. He's the instructor. I'd say it depends on what your after. Kenpo is good for self defense, Brazillian Jiu Jitsu is too, but would be more sport orientated.

Personally I'd pick the BJJ, cause you said you already train, so if you train in a traditional style like Shotokan or Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo would be similar enough and BJJ will give you something completely different.
