    The year 2012 is neigh upon us. We at SURGE feel your going to need a good party more than ever. We will be taking up residency in The Twisted Pepper for a monthly show. Although our roots lie in House, Techno and Bass music.We have decided that in 2012 we want to take all the best musical elements that we have experienced, from parties over the years, and bring them to POGO at The Twisted Pepper once a month. Don't worry we will still be bringing you quality House, Techno and Bass from all around the world.As well we will be adding in different elements and hosting some of Dublin's favourite crews across the music spectrum with live bands ,Reggae, Funk, Soul, 70' 80's Dub Bass Hip Hop Drum and Bass, Industrial and as always we will be supporting up and coming talent and giving the young guns a chance to strut there stuff. In turn we are hoping that this will bring together all the great fun loving people we meet at parties, festivals ,clubs and pubs, people of all shapes, sizes and musical backgrounds. We want y'all all together under one roof for a great party vibe once a month. We are always going to aim to have admission at €10/12 to give you a cracking night out at a great price.


    We are delighted to start the new year off with eindhoven born martyn.
    his dj sets range from disco right through to house and techno,with slabs of dubstep and even drum and bass maybe thrown in for good measure.
    as a producer he has carved his own distinct sound out over the years and anyone who listened to his last album on flying lotus's brainfeeder will know what i mean,some people refer to it as martyn music.

    Warming things up we will have the crafty niall dunne and frankie bingo.

    Meanwhile upstairs on the stage we will have THE WHIPROUND
    Forged in the fires of....no that's naff....Rising from the ashes like....wait, hold on....Catapulted from obscurity by.....this is hard! Bound by their mutual love of Rock and Roll cliches the Whipround endeavour to expand your minds and shake your behinds....or is it the other way round? The Whipround have been knocking the Gonker out of venues in Dublin and Beyond for the last two years. Theyre infectious mix of ska, reggae, punk and soul ensures first time listnership will have you dancing in the streets. A mix of original material and standards from theyre biggest influences such as the clash, the beat, james brown and thin lizzy to name a few, will mean something for everyone.NOT.TO.BE.MISSED.

    In the cafe we will have the IRA(irish roots army) selecting from their drool worthy 7 " collection of roots and reggae

    The box room we will have robbie ryan and gas mark six banging out a dose of the hard stuff.
