Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Building a sub woofer enclosure

I'm going building a sub woofer enclosure for my 2 x 800w Pioneer subs 12" (TS-WX301) (2500w Mutant amp with it) I bought the speakers recently and they had a sealed enclosure but it is MASSIVE and I want to reduce the size of the enclosure.

    http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/products/archive/TS-WX301/index.html

I am just wondering what type of enclosure would give a decent sound quality whist keeping the size of the enclosure to a reasonable size. Would a sealed enclosure give a good sound quality or do you need to have a vented one to get the better quality of sound? I know that the sealed enclosure means a smaller enclosure but how much of a difference in sound quality is there?

I was also wondering how big the vented enclosure would have to be to get the worth out of the bigger enclosure.

Its a vw passat it will be in so there is decent space in the boot but the box i got with it was just ridiculously big, It was also a bad build.
