    Hey,

    I just got a run of the mill spam email.. but this one was a bit different

    I'm pretty sure I have Email visibility turned off on my account, so how did they cross reference me from here? And how did the get my email?

    Anyone else get a similar email?

    You have a hotmail address listed under the IM contact details visible on your profile screen. Is that the same address the spam came to?

    You don't appear to be online, so I've killed your MSN account profile field for now.

    It was the same email address that you have used for your account. Anybody can click on this MSN icon and get a popup that will tell them to add your email address (the address entered in the MSN field) to their contacts.

    For what it's worth, we (as in HQ) got the exact same this morning, I suspect it was a crawler pinging out mails to whatever email addresses it could get from Boards.
