Ronaldo (goal aside) and Messi have both been poor tonight

Messi's off the ball work has been great though. He creates so much space for other players. Really knows how to use players marking him to his advantage.

    Hahaha, he's still rolling!

    How?

Not a goal scoring opportunity or in any way dangerous.

Either you dont know the rules of football or one of the Madrid players stole your ma, which is it?

Then again, there's always been reams of sh*te emanating from Pyongyang so you're consistent at least

25 players given their debut that were on the B team in the last 3 years. Some statistic that.

Did the commentator say that Barcelona only buy someone if they dont have someone coming through in that position?

    Well thats just not true

    Jizz from Barca.

    Surprised at no red cards

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,351 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Well that was just horrible to watch. A few nice touches, a couple of flashes of genuine skill but an awful, awful spectacle.

    El Classico my arse.

Hitting the bookies next timeI get nearly every score right. Nobody answered my Ramos question unfriendly fellow Barca fans.

Ref has been lenient. Definitely has been a few challenges worthy of red.

Another Clásico another Barca win. Routine at this stage. Alonso, Pepe and Carvalho all should have walked.

    Rubbish game.

Sky can pimp it up all they want, but that was not a good game of football.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,175 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Since Mourinho joined Real these games have become much worse. I'm a huge fan of the special one but I don't like whats going on in these games every year. Hopefully they can sort it out and get their players to act like real men in future.

If Mourinho appreciated good football, he would chuck Pepe out of Madrid.

yet another win in the Bernabéu.

    what a team.

    tough night for the haters.

That must have been embarressing for both sets of fans. Busquets, Pepe and Messi were just ridicuolous. But have to hand it to Pepe for taking play acting to another level!

Really don't see why Messi has to do it though. He's far too talented to be resorting to that.

I enjoyed it. Watching Barca keep the ball is watching football at its finest. Terrible by Real though. Two awful mistakes costing them 2 goals.

Mourinho will be pleased he was only beaten by a single goal at least.

boring game, I fail too see how some people think the Spanish league is better than the EPL, Not judging that on a single game, just overall

I thought it was. Goals, lots of Barca chances and lots of hard tackling. Quite enjoyed that myself. Getting bored of Barca walking all over Madrid again though.

Its far better imo and this game is obviously not a good example. Barca and Madrid games are very one-sided almost always but outside of them two the games are usually excellent. I love watching Athletic Bilbao playing, love watching Malaga playing too.

Commentators/media whatever tend to turn a blind eye to Messi's antics, moreso than some other players.

Messi? sure he plays the game in the right way, never play acts or tries to gain advantage by bending the rules. Couldnt happen

In fairness to Messi, it's only in the last 2 or 3 years has this become part of his game. But I had to laugh when the commentator reffered to Busquets as such a clever player, how he plays up and gets players booked so they can't tackle. How is that in any way good for the game??

Madrid will always be superior to that lot.

Two or three years is long enough, imo.

Mourinhos tactic is to go out and hack Barca, someone will get sent off, then he can say the refs are against Madrid because they had 6 players sent off in the last 6 Classicos.

Didn't see the game tonight, I'm assuming Madrid put in their usual load of dirty tackles.

He got hacked down like6 times tonight, got his hand stood on after being hacked down, and then got his hair pulled for no reason. He didn't fake anything imo. I wouldn't really call it antics. If he doesn't react he won't get alot of protection

Nope your sarcasm detector is working perfectly :)

Just get annoyed at the blind eye turned towards him is all, great player, undoubtably, but he isnt above playing int he dirt either

Madrid need to sort themselves out while playing Barca, quite clearly the tactic they go into each classico with is not working.

Either change the tactic or change the players to suit the system. Otherwise it will be same old story every time I feel. Funny thing is Madrid would still have to be favorites for the league right now

They did, but Pepe is by far the dirtiest.

Oh I completely agree. You just have to wonder where its coming from. I remember the Utd Barca final where Carrick checked Messi enough to bring him down but Messi rolled and got back onto his feet straight away looking to play on. You watching him now and any contact results in a land mine going off. Is it the players or is it Pep's training. Mascherano's drastic change might hint towards managers influence?

His head was pushed, and he reacts like he's trying to stop it from rolling off his neck.

The bias toward him is ridiculous.

The whole Barca team are quite adept at cheating and play acting, just as much as any other team.

Takes away from the great football they play.

the hardest thing for them to accept is they've taken the lead early TWICE at home, and gone on to be totally outplayed. for a squad of such quality, that is really sad.

sit back, kick and rush, foul and hope for the best. how times have changed.
