And another one spotted in Tennessee. Hopefully there's no fatalities today but it looks like it's probably inevitable.

Big thunderstorm on Kholby Martin's stream now just east of St Louis, poor quality but looks like there's a tornado on the ground

Yeah and i totally agree , but with latest technology and like weather radios , its very easy to separate a warning to visually know if a tornado is forming or is on the ground. For example last year's Joplin and Tuscaloosa event , there was visual reports of the tornado being on the ground near 25 mins prior to them hitting the areas. Lets just hope this event is being made as serious as possible. The amount of people we come across in Kansas and Oklahoma that have never seen a Tornado was surprising to say the least.

Yeah for the ones that are well forecast like this outbreak there isn't really any excuse if you have a secure place available. Especially storms that occur in daylight. I mean there are circumstances other than stubbornness where legitimate excuses exist such as trailer parks. Many don't own tv sets or may not have them on often to keep electricity bills down. Also a lot of trailer parks can be surrounded by forested areas which can obscure tornadoes greatly. Not to mention power outages. A series of tornadoes approaching can cut off power for entire communities while still miles away. The last warning they got may be that it was heading west away from them at 30 mph. Then it swing's south east and speeds up to 50 mph. Before they know it the tornado is on top of them. Factor all those into a nighttime scenario and it really is hell on earth at times.

Yeah most people i grew up with wouldn't have seen any tornadoes. Just the damage. Which most of the time was small and localized. Actually the first tornado i seen was one afternoon on a drive back from New Mexico. I was 9 and had been born and raised in the state with the 3rd highest tornadoes per year or per square mile. Can't remember which one is true. And then i get to see one in all it's glory ripping up a field in a state that wouldn't even be in the top 30. Even more strange was that i seen most of my tornadoes in Minnesota when i moved there despite living in that state for a much shorter period of time and receiving way less per annum.

Anyways hope all today hit way out in the open plains.

Chaser Cam was right on it, he got hit a bit and drove into the debris and turned off his feed.

Footage taken in West Liberty, Kentucky. Imagine trying to deal with all that and in the dark too. Those poor people. :(
Free to edit and publish - Please credit Frank Leppar (La-par) and @weathertrek -- Footage from the devastating tornado that leveled the small city of West Liberty. Footage taken around 8:30PM as I tried to do what I could to help for a couple hours. This is (was) Main Street of the city. Many businesses, homes, churches are rubble. My heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones.

Quiet compared to yesterday but a couple of tornadoes in Southern Georgia already.

Death toll still rising unfortunately, 37 the last I heard. At least 50 deaths this season already and its only the 3rd of March, scary to think there's over 3 months before things quieten down yet

Last year was expected to be a bad year with several elements coming together in an irregular cycle of events, and it was so, I've not heard of conditions expected for this season, but it seems pretty ferocious.

This year is expected to be intense as well.

    Midwest tornado death toll rises

A 15-month-old girl who was found alive after her home was destroyed by a tornado in the US state of Indiana has died in hospital.

Angel Babcock was the only member of her family to survive the initial impact when the storm hit their mobile home in New Pekin on Friday.

She was being treated in Louisville, Kentucky, but died on Sunday.

She was one of 39 people killed by the storms, including her father, mother, and two siblings.

The states of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia and Alabama were all hit by the intense winds which flattened homes, lifted rooftops and tore down powerlines.

A total of 90 tornadoes and 700 severe weather events were reported on Friday.

They caused widespread disruption to power supplies, internet and phone communications, and it is still not clear how many people have been made homeless.

President Barack Obama has offered federal government help to the affected states.

Tornadoes occur all year round in the US, although the strength of this week's storms was unusual for the time of year - the peak period is March to May in the southern US and later further north.
