    Trailers spinning in the air

Net Zero means we are paying for the destruction of our economy and society in pursuit of an unachievable and pointless policy.

Check out the hail drifts in this video, shot on Wed 11th near Amarillo TX.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr8AvdkKHO0

Video shows flash flood (note the signs of cold meltwater shown by low scudding clouds forming over the river) but you'll see the hail drifts covered in dirt closer to the end of the short video. Have seen other views of this where a guy is standing near a hail drift apparently 4-5 feet deep.

Tomorrow has been upgraded to High Risk

    day2otlk_0600.gif

From SPC :- AN IMPRESSIVE UPPER-LEVEL LOW WILL MOVE EWD ACROSS FOUR CORNERS
REGION SATURDAY AS A POWERFUL 90 TO 110 KT MID-LEVEL JET EJECTS NEWD
INTO THE SRN AND CNTRL PLAINS. AHEAD OF THE SYSTEM...A CORRIDOR OF
MODERATE TO STRONG INSTABILITY IS FORECAST ACROSS ECNTRL KS...CNTRL
OK INTO NW TX. THIS COMBINED WITH STEEP MID-LEVEL LAPSE RATES AND
STRONG LOW-LEVEL SHEAR WILL BE VERY FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE STORMS AND
A TORNADO OUTBREAK WILL BE LIKELY ACROSS THE SRN AND CNTRL PLAINS
FROM LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON LASTING THROUGH THE EVENING AND INTO
    THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD.

According to WikiPedia, the High Risk issued for Day 2 by the SPC is only the second in history!!!
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_SPC_high-risk_days
It's time to get worried about tomorrow in the Plains.

I was just thinking when I saw the moderate risk last night that I'd never seen a high risk.
Possibility that it could affect Oklahoma City and Wichita, Kansas. Let's hope the major storms stay over rural areas.

NO no... its the DAY 2 part that is the 2nd time ever... like that they forecasted a high risk so far in advanced. THats whats only ever happened one before.
When i was over the last may. may 23rd was a high risk. with a 45% hatched area for tornadoes... this one has 65!!!! and its a DAY 2!!!
    Scary stuff!

Still... id do anything to be over there right now! ha
