Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone know a place that does repairs on carbon fibre?

I have 2 carbon fibre splitters taken from my front bumper.
There is a small hole in one of them, the other one just needs sanding down & a fresh coating of lacquer.

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

It is not that simple. It is not a coat of lacquer, it is a gel coat. The only way to get this done properly is to get the splitter put back into the mould, even then you will still see the repair. The hole can be filled with more carbon fibre, but you will always see the repair.

There are 2 companies I can think off that might be able to help, Kemakraft, where based in Clane, Co. Kildare, not sure if they are still in business, or The canoe centre, Plamerstown, Dublin. Both would have experience in building and repairing carbon fibre kayaks.
