Sonnen's game plan wouldn't change regardless of who he is fighting though. Take them down and whale on them...that's really it.

I'm not even sure if he worries about things like taking shots on the way in as he chin appears to be made from granite.

That's just the rules of the forum mate. I think they just have to be strict on it with everybody to avoid spam. The link to Youtube is fine but the one to your site may be considered advertising. I could be wrong though.
By the way you can embed the video by using the Youtube tags in the reply box and just put in everything after the =

you are spot on, youtube is not trying to drag people to your own site so is clearly showing us stuff for our benefit and not advertising, and if we ever show any flexibilty to this, it will be to regular users who contribute to the forum and did not set up an account to promote themselves.

This is why this forum is a chat forum and not just an advertising site full of spam.

with all the talk of sonnen smashing bisping, there has been no talk of evans v davis. i think this could be good, i'm not a big fan of rashad but i would like him to win to set up a fight with jones. I think with rashad's speed and wrestling he has some tools to cause jones some problems

Not at all - there are plenty of others that don't get the promotion end of MMA. I think they're called "Sherdoggers" or something - they're the same 'purists' that said Brock was bad for the sport too, despite the record breaking PPV buys, new fans, and media attention he brought to UFC.

So how exactly has Jones ducked Evans?
Evans wasn't available to fight, so Jones defended his title. Its a bit much to expect Jones to sit by and wait for him, he wants to prove he can beat everyone, so that's what he is doing. Then there is also the money aspect.

Anyone else think Sonnen's boxing is under rated. I honestly think he could hold his own with Bisping on the feet. But for some reason I just think Bisping is gonna win this. Throughout his career Sonnen has excelled as the under dog but never really won some of the fights he's been expected to.

knew that was going to be alot closer than people thought.
30-27 was ridiculous.
i think the judges place way too much emphasis on the takedown.
if someone gets a takedown, does minimium damage and the other person works hard and gets back up it should be nullified.
its a really good skill to be able to get back up and if he hardly takes any damage it should be treated as equal to the initial takedown.

Hardly robbed in fairness. It was a close fight. Even Sonnen said a 30-27 can still be a close fight even though it doesn't look like that when you see it on paper.

Round 2 was Bisping's, round 3 decisively Sonnen's.

In round 1, Sonnen landed almost twice as many strikes as Bisping (43 to 23) as well as 2 takedowns, albeit brief. Everyone is talking about the fact that Bidping pressured him against the cage, but in fact he only held Sonnen there for about 15 seconds longer than Sonnen had Bisping against the cage.

I believe the robbed commetns refered to the fact that one judge scored it 30-27. He was robbed of the second round by that judge.

Even though it was a loss. I feel it was one of Bispings better proformances. To go 3 rounds, and stop takedowns for Sonnen. He put in far better proformances than others other have verses Chael in the past.
After watching that, I'd say Bisping would of beat Maia.
Bisping v Stann looks good imo.

I'm a Bisping fan. I'm also a Chael fan. And I was lookign forward to both gettign a title shot in the future. So this match up, wasn't helpful. I said to a friend before it, that the best result for me would be a close Chael win. That way we get Sonnen v Silva II, but bisping doesn;t move down in rankings.
After that, I think Bisping has a good case of being oen of the better ranked 185ers in the UFC.


Remember, you can't spell Michael Bisping, without Chael.

How was the commentary, was Rogan as biased as usual? Watched it with the sound down...Bisping did a lot better than expected but I thought Sonnen edged it-if only on takedowns.

I thought the commentry was poor, rogan and goldie especially were trying to make the fights sound a lot more interesting that they really were. The whole fox thing is a nightmare, full of adds and american type hype
