Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So, I mentioned before Crimbo that my trusty Punto HLX was moving on, and she is now in a new home. Its an '02 and I bought it at the end of Summer '09 for €2,200, and with €200 worth of tax on the window which was a bonus. It had a service 2,000 miles before I purchased and a new timing belt was fitted just before I picked it up. Other than tax, insurance, fuel, I have bought a pair of part worn tyres and fitted a new wiper linkage kit for €50. I sold it for just under €1,200 last week, so only down a grand after 2 1/2 years. She served me well.

So, on to my new motor, a real car for once in my life. An '01 318ci, which was a UK import so pretty well specced and she is heading towards 80k on the clock. I've just drove it home, and its a dream, really solid for the years and not a rattle anywhere.

You are, typical Irish eh, not looking after there cars. Nah, it was a small money car, redundancy took its toll, the rest is history. Currently 14k since the last one, but its the new owners decision now.

Well ware with the new car, just a word of friendly advice, do not do what you did to that Punto with a BMW (in terms of not servicing and looking after it), because you will be a lot more out of pocket for not looking after it than you will be for giving it TLC:)!

Anyway, best of luck with your 'Ultimate Driving Machine'!
