Emobile phone unlock

I have a friend who signed up with Eircom and got a samsung phone for signing up on bill pay. They can't stand the phone and want to sell it, but it needs to be unlocked. I have gone through the process of unlocking a phone with vodafone, but what are the policies with emobile? How long do you have to be with them before…

I have gone through the process of unlocking a phone with vodafone, but what are the policies with emobile? How long do you have to be with them before they will provide you an unlock code and will they even?
