    well lads. a friend of mine is interested in becoming an apprentice butcher and just wondering how does he go about it etc

    It's a trade, just like anythign else. Process is similar.

    My friend back home started working in a butchers last year and they give him training through the shop,
    I think there a fetac course but you must be working in a butchers to do it,
    I'd say go have a chat with your butcher next time you're buying meat :)
