Go Karting and paintballing stuff of any interest?
Two stripclubs in the city too, neither are great though.

there is something very disheartening getting a lapdance when you know she is just into you as much as you into her haha.Is Curraheen dog track far from City Centre.

Dog track would be the guts of 15 mins by taxi from city centre, realistically, it's not far in miles or anything though.

cheers chief. Will put it to the lads to see what they want. I tell you organising lads is tough going.Reckon Pub followed by pub prob what we will do. What would be the equivalent of coppers or flannerys in cork

... Reardens on Washington street is the Cork coppers, its a late night bar with a club upstairs, the club isn't like coppers but downstairs is.

I couldnt recommend the dog track enough. Its great fun. It would be a good place to kick start the night.

Agreed - would suggest dog track and then head to Reardons - just to pre warn that in Cork can be tough to get into bars at night as a large group so maybe try 5/6ppl at a time and try to be some way sober-ish going in. (just saying!)

There is a bus that comes back from dog track every hour or so and costs 2 euro a head so that might be handy for ye.

That's true and neat dress essential and definitely no trainers, because you just may not get in anywhere.
If you give your age group it might help us to give names of other bars that might interest you before you head to Reardans.

Honestly I wouldn't go to Cork for a stag, I'd go to Dublin. I am from Cork and I live and work in Cork and as fun as it is Dublin is just a bigger a more lively place because of the population and the variety of options for a stag.

If you are heading to Cork (inevitably Reardens too) then ring ahead and book a table int he VIP area or something, or just let them know that you're a stag party, it actually matters as opposed to a blunt refusal at the door.

Nah. I'd rate Galway, killarney, cork and Waterford (and a few other towns also) all ahead of Dublin for a stag.

Easter-fest in the Franciscan Well should be on around mid-April, around the bank holiday if you are around then and into different types of beer.

Definitely not a traditional stag destination.

You live work and are from Cork. Most people like to go away for a Stag. Hence you would like to go to Dublin for a Stag, and correspondingly many people from Dublin would like to go to Cork for a Stag. Tis the way of the world.

As for the original poster there are lots of things to do here, and thanks for choosing Cork.

If you are arriving in mid morning, you could go on a harbour cruise first:

    http://www.corkharbourcruises.com/

Then in the afternoon you could go to the Mardyke for bowling, they do a deal where you get a bowling lane for two hours and a five pint "giraffe" beer dispenser for €69 for six people.

    http://www.mardyke.com/webofferapril2011.html

Then you could go to the Dog track that night and finish up that night in town. The next day you could go paintballing in Aghada for the day or paintballing and quad biking.

The best hotel deals are normally on Lidl Breaks site. Silversprings will cost you €39 per room per night on the 6th of April for instance, as will The Montennotte, which are both good hotels, reasonably comfy and have swimming pools and gyms for the sobering up next morning.

Anyway, enjoy yourself when you visit, and I hope you all have a great time here.

I understand what you mean. I want to clarify that I didn't mean don't go to Cork because it's not a good place to go, I just feel that if you're going to spend money on a stag you're better off spending it on a place with more variety than Cork. Cork has a limited number of places you can go once it hits regular closing time for bars, and pubs/clubs close early enough (before 2:15 for the vast majority). I know people will be well ****ed up by that time of the night but in general the impression I got from people who came here was that things closing early was a bad thing, I work in one of the busiest night clubs in the city as a bouncer so I'm only giving my impression based on experience.

The only issue with the hotels you mention is they will require taxis in and out of town. The clarion is right in city, good gym and pool.

If you want a interesting pub the Castle on North Main Street is great, tiny and an outside bog, but a good way to start off the night. Most of the good stag type pubs are in the Washington street area.

If you want to give the bridegroom a heart attack the monster breakfast in Tonys on north main street is a huge, and I mean huge €29.95 3 hour marathon. http://www.irishexaminer.com/ireland/bistro-toasts-eric-after-godfather-of-all-fry-ups-180423.html

The clarion penthouse is about 300 or 400 a night but it is worth it for the groom. Could even kick off the night there.

Good ideas on here, if yere arriving early on the Friday than maybe a Cork City match (every second Friday) or the dog track for the evening, build up to either place on a pub crawl, one drink in each pub on the way, I think once yere based in the city centre you can get anywhere on foot. If I was coming to Cork (and didn't live here everyday of my life) I think I'd like to set up base on MacCurtain Street, to me it would tick all the boxes.
Anyway this is what I use if you didn't know about it when I'm travelling around this island...just never for Cork as it happens...http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g186600-Cork_County_Cork-Hotels.html

For accomodation look into the Brew bars hostel too on maccurtain street, good atmosphere there. Good few pubs on Maccurtain street before hitting town at night. Dogs and match good laugh too. Odd rugby munster match in cork too and you can drink in the stadium.
For after hours drinking I think residents bar / casinos only options.

Could always do night in city surfing and night in clon or kinsale after a surf.
