Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

was i dreaming or did a new thing come in in the budget that only 20% of dairy cows and 50% of sucklers are to be blood tested each year- which in my mind would equate to blood testing dairy cows every 5 years. Asked in vets today and they said they hadnt heard anything:confused:

Can't speak for dairy, but yes, on suckler farms, brucellosis is now every other year.
Herd numbers ending in uneven number 1.3,5, etc tested last year.
Herd numbers ending in 2,4,6, etc to be tested this year.

I believe that's to be the case.

Yeah. The dairy herd will still be tested using the milk ring(?) test, same as always so there will be an early warning of any brucellosis showing up in the dairy herd but sucklers will still have to be done every 2 years. Dont know what the situation is with herds with dairy and sucklers like yours though, whelan1
