Hi guys, I am searching on the Internet for an explaination of the school size categories for the principal and deputy principal allowances! Does anyone know what category is post primary enrollment of 400 students?

Thanks a million! I wonder would it only be based on department paid teachers as in some fee paying schools some teachers maybe school paid!

I would imagine it's based on department paid teachers and school paid comes from the school's own funds. Department/VEC pays principal's wages so they are not going to pay a higher wage to a principal because they have made a choice to hire extra teachers not paid by the Department.

AFAIK it's also Wholetime equivalents, not the actual number of teachers.

Is pupil teacher ratio in fee paying 22 to 1 ? If so, would it be 400 pupils divided by 22 therefore 18 whole time teachers?
