    Hello,

I'm currently on a student visa, course hasn't started yet. My employer is willing to sponsor me. But he hasn't sponsored anyone before.

So I was wondering what he has to do to organize sponsorship for me and who is best to contact. I'm in Sydney by the way.

It's a small electrical company, it's himself, another Aussie and me hopefully
    Thanks

Changing visa should be fine just apply.

    3 stages for a 457

1 Business is approved as a sponser
2 Nomination, the job is approved
    3 You are approved

Having never sponsored b4 he will need to do part one,
there is restrictions and certain levels of turnover as far as i know but im no expert on this and how much it is, someone so small may not qualify. He also has to spend 1% of total wages on training for Aussie staff.

Look at the forms on the immigration site for more details
